Introduction

Whether you’re looking for a beginner travel rewards credit card or simply want to add a new rewards program to your travel rotation, the Flagship Rewards Card is a smart option to consider. Keep in mind that Navy Federal Credit Union’s Visa Flagship Rewards credit card is only available to members of the institution.

For a low $49 annual fee, it offers generous rewards points on travel-related purchases. Additionally, cardholders receive access to travel benefits, like a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee reimbursement, which is a benefit that’s typically synonymous with premium travel rewards cards.

Its welcome bonus lets new cardholders earn 30,000 rewards points after spending $3,000 in the first 90 days of opening the account. An introductory 1.99% APR is also accessible for the first six months, and members receive a complimentary year of Amazon Prime membership.

Although the Flagship Rewards Card offers some of the travel perks you might expect from a travel rewards card, it's membership requirement to apply is a drawback—Navy Federal Credit Union membership is open to military members, veterans, and family—and the card’s travel benefits might be duplicative for someone who is a tenured travel rewards aficionado.
